Financial institutions, businesses and individuals that seek to collect indebtedness or face bankruptcy preference and avoidance claims rely on the counsel and advice of attorney Kevin D. Nicoson. His quality work and enduring awareness of ever-changing laws has delivered positive results.

"Early in my career, I was lead counsel for creditor clients in two very complex bankruptcy matters. My involvement resulted in the clear understanding that the depth of resources and personnel at Stuart & Branigin allows for effective representation in any creditors' rights matter," says Kevin.

Kevin understands that financial institutions are facing a turbulent economic environment, and he has a clear grasp of the problems facing creditors. His past roles as Secretary/Treasurer, Chair-elect and Chair of the Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Section of the Indiana Bar Association have contributed to his ability to find solutions to his clients' legal issues. Under Kevin's leadership as editor of the Section's newsletter, "Order for Relief," the publication set aside theoretical questions and tackled everyday issues head on. Kevin understands that, although theoretical questions engage attorneys, clients look for direct and practical answers to their legal problems.

Kevin currently coaches middle school football at Southwestern Middle School in Lafayette, Indiana. Over the years, he also has directed local summer recreation programs, coached various sports teams and served as a director for the local Big Brothers Big Sisters.

"I enjoy working with kids and take great satisfaction in their success and personal development," says Kevin.

“…the depth of resources and personnel at Stuart & Branigin allows for effective representation in any creditors' rights matter.”
