For Robert Elder, practicing law means there is never a dull moment. He carries on the Stuart & Branigin tradition of taking a lean, efficient approach to litigation for architects, engineers, educational institutions, and insurance companies throughout Indiana.

"Practicing law keeps my brain occupied," says Robert. "I'm always pondering my cases and thinking about new approaches. I enjoy helping people and corporations get through difficult situations."

Before completing a joint JD/MBA at the Indiana University School of Law and the Kelly School of Business, Robert taught elementary and secondary school.

"My degrees bring a diverse set of professional skills to the practice of law," says Robert. "And, as a former teacher I have had a lot of experience helping people reach their goals. I think that improves my effectiveness as an attorney."

While completing his advanced degrees, Robert combined his loves of teaching, learning and managing as editor-in-chief of the Indiana Health Law Review. The publication also ran his law review Note titled "Expanded Hospital Liability under the Federal False Claims Act: An Unexpected Solution to the Resident Duty Hour Controversy."

Robert is proud to be a Hoosier and has strong ties to Indiana, through family, teaching and schooling.

“I'm always pondering cases and thinking about new approaches.”
