When representing Stuart & Branigin's railroad clients, Sarah Snoeberger insists on being more prepared than the opponents or witnesses she faces. She has had the unique opportunity to see litigation from the perspective of not just attorney, but also judge and juror. In addition to her work as defense counsel, Sarah served on a jury while attending Purdue University and has acted as Judge Pro Tem for the Tippecanoe Circuit Court.
"The work of judges and jurors is complex, and the more clear and organized I can make my presentation, the easier it will be for them to do their work," says Sarah.
Sarah's strategy served her well when she successfully led defense counsel in a malpractice case against Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, two veterinarians and a vet student.
"I received from one of the veterinarians my own copy of the Merk Veterinary Manual, with a nice note written in the cover," says Sarah. "It's a reminder of my first trial and is my most prized professional possession."
Her other professional accomplishments have included clerking for Justice Brent Dickson of the Indiana Supreme Court, serving as executive articles editor on the Indiana Law Review and publishing an article, "Self-Insurance: Is it ‘Other Insurance?'" in The Indiana Lawyer.
Sarah is proud to have grown up on a farm in nearby Benton County, and she enjoys spending time with her family at their lake home near Monticello.
“…the more clear and organized I can make my presentation, the easier it will be for [the judge and jurors] to do their work.”
