Stuart & Branigin sponsors "Opportunity for Indiana" Business Plan Competitions

Stuart & Branigin is pleased to be a sponsor of the 2nd Annual Opportunity for Indiana Business Plan Competition. The competition provides the people of Indiana with an opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship through development and presentation of a business idea to a panel of judges. The judging panel, including Stuart & Branigin partner Erik D. Spykman, follows the process a private equity investor group would use, seeking to reach consensus on the venture the panel would most likely fund.

Participants in the competition will have an opportunity to define their ideas in commercial terms and to compete for substantial cash prizes that could be used to further the commercialization of their ideas. Participants have had the opportunity to attend a series of workshops on various business related subjects important to writing a business plan, forming a firm or commercializing a business idea. The Opportunity for Indiana business plan competitions offer a total guaranteed prize package of $50,000 funded by Lilly Endowment, Inc.

Purdue Research Park in partnership with the Purdue University Burton Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship and the Small Business and Development Center will announce the winners of the 2nd Annual Opportunity for Indiana Business Plan Competitions on November 30, 2005.
