Firm Cosponsors Indiana Companies to Watch Awards
Lafayette, Indiana - May 31, 2008 – Stuart & Branigin LLP is a sponsor of the first Indiana Companies to Watch awards. Presented by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, its Small Business Development Centers, and Purdue University, in association with the Edward Lowe Foundation, the awards program celebrates the state’s top 50 “second-stage entrepreneurs.”
“These awards highlight the unsung heroes of Indiana’s economy – the strong second-stage companies that continue to grow and create new jobs for Hoosiers,” said Jeff Heinzmann, state director of the Indiana Small Business Development Centers at the IEDC (www.iedc.in.gov). Second-stage companies are those that have moved beyond the startup phase and are focused on significant, steady growth, according to Mark Lange, executive director of the Edward Lowe Foundation (www.lowe.org).
More than 400 companies have been nominated for the awards. A panel of judges will select 50 recipients based on past growth, projected success, innovation and technology application, and community involvement. Winners will be announced on Aug. 28.
