Owen Elected to the Board of Society of Indiana Pioneers

Lafayette, Indiana – November, 2003 -- Marianne Mitten Owen, a partner in the law firm of Stuart & Branigin LLP with offices in Lafayette and Indianapolis, has been elected to serve a three-year term on the 20-member board of governors of The Society of Indiana Pioneers.

Founded in 1916, the society is a membership organization of some 1,200 descendents of Indiana’s early settlers. From its Indianapolis offices, the society honors the state’s pioneer heritage through various projects and cooperation with the Indiana Historical Society and others.

Born in Indianapolis and raised in Bloomington, Owen earned her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and law degree in 1991 from the Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington. She joined Stuart & Branigin in 1997 and was named a partner in 2001, specializing in business, real estate, land use and zoning law.
