Parent Presents at Legal Seminar

Lafayette, Indiana – December, 2003 – Thomas Parent, partner in Lafayette’s Stuart & Branigin law firm, presented a session on structuring business entities, focusing in particular on a comparison of Indiana and Delaware entity law, at the December 2nd Indianapolis legal seminar, “Building Indiana Companies from the Ground Up: Legal Issues.” The seminar was sponsored by the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, the legal education arm of the Indiana State Bar Association.

Mr. Parent graduated from Purdue University, with highest distinction, in 1982 and earned his law degree at Indiana University School of Law, magna cum laude, in 1986. Mr. Parent is Assistant General Counsel to The Trustees of Purdue University and specializes in university law, business law, estate planning and administration, and intellectual property law.

His local volunteer activities include serving on the board of directors of Lafayette Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc., the advisory board for the Lafayette Small Business Development Center, the Greater Lafayette Venture Club steering committee, and various committees of the Lafayette Area Catholic Schools. He is a frequent lecturer at Lafayette Small Business Development Center seminars as well as the Lafayette Entrepreneurship Academy.
