Pennell Heads Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana

Lafayette, Indiana – December 10, 2003 – Stephen Pennell, partner in Lafayette’s Stuart & Branigin law firm, will serve as president of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana beginning January 1, 2004.

Under his leadership, the 750-member organization will launch the Indiana Civil Litigation Review, a defense law journal that will include scholarly articles from the legal profession and academe, among other content. “Our goal is to create a publication of such quality that it will come to be cited by courts,” Pennell said.

A 1973 Indiana University graduate, Pennell earned his I.U. law degree in 1976. He specializes in litigation, product liability, insurance coverage and appellate work. His local activities include service to Wesley Foundation and Rotary membership, where he’s also been president. He’s just completed a term as vice president of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana.
